Biography
Dr. Bishop completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame. She attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. She worked in the Chicago area for 7 years before moving to Colorado and joining the Women’s Health Group. Dr. Bishop has further training and experience in breastfeeding medicine.
What makes Colorado home to you?
The sunshine, seeing the mountains on a daily basis, the outdoor activities.
What are your passions outside of work?
Reading, traveling, spending time outdoors, especially with my husband and two children.
Why did you become an OB/GYN?
I like that it is a good mix of medicine and surgery/procedures. I love caring for women of various ages and at different stages of life.
What in your career are you most proud?
Completing a rigorous residency program.
What is the most important part of your job?
The most important part is the relationship I develop with patients. If patients have a good relationship with me and feel that they can trust me, I can provide better care.

Work in the Community:
- I volunteer at my children's school to feel more connected to that community. I periodically participate in medical mission trips to provide care to those that might otherwise have to go without.
