Katie Danielson CM

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I moved to Colorado in 2018 with my husband and children and am excited to be leave the subzero winters behind! Moving to Colorado has been a dream for me and my family and we are looking forward to putting our roots down in the community.

What makes Colorado home to you?

Being at Red Rocks! Prior to moving to Colorado, we had been traveling out here every summer to attend the Avett Brother’s concerts. Being in that open air venue with thousands of people while taking in the amazing views is like nothing else in the world.

What are your passions outside of work?

In my free time, I love to bake and eat cookies, drink delicious coffee, read interesting books, travel with my husband and hang out with my kids.

Why did you become an OB/GYN?

I worked for many years as an RN, including in labor and delivery, as a child birth educator and a self-proclaimed birth junkie. During this time, I noticed a shift in the way that I cared for women, focusing more on being with women, helping to ensure their labor and birth experiences were what they desired.

What in your career are you most proud?

I am so thankful that people put their trust in me to provide care for them, whether it be during a wellness exam, throughout pregnancy, labor or birth. I love when I hear people say “I never knew it could be like this!” I think it speaks volumes to the care we provide when people send their family and friends our way.

What is the most important part of your job?

Understanding the strong connection between birth empowerment and postpartum mental health. This has become a passion of mine and hope to continue to bring awareness to.
