Dr Madsen attended undergrad at University of Colorado- Boulder and attended medical school at Rocky Vista University in Parker. After completing residency in New York and practicing in Utah, Dr Madsen is excited to return to CO to continue her practice. Dr Madsen feels it is important to create a patient-provider relationship where patients feel heard and are not intimidated to bring up their questions and concerns. What makes Colorado home to you? I was born and raised in CO, and after living out of state for many years, it is great to be back where I consider my true home. What are your passions outside of work? Skiing, yoga, traveling, spending time with family and friends- pretty much everything CO has to offer! Why did you become an OB/GYN? Everyday is a little different in the world of OB/GYN. I love the continuity and relationships you build with patients, and also the procedural side of things. What in your career are you most proud? That I have achieved a lifelong goal of becoming a physician, and continue to feel rewarded in my chosen career. What is the most important part of your job? To be able to develop a partnership with patients to allow communication to better guide and educate them in their health care decisions. It is important that patients have access to the best options for them and their healthcare needs. By creating a collaborative environment between staff, practitioners, and patients, patients receive the best care that suits their concerns and needs.
