Michelle Nguyen, MD

What makes Colorado home to you?

Colorado is my home in many ways. I was born in Colorado and grew up here until I left for college. It has been an absolute joy being back. I found that while I was away I missed the Rocky Mountains and the community I grew up in. It also made me truly appreciate the lifestyle that so many people move here for. Above all, my family lives here and wherever they are is where my home is. So despite the distance, Colorado has always been my home.

What are your passions outside of work?

My family, friends, my pets, traveling to new places, being outside, yoga, cooking and baking, listening to live music

Why did you become an OB/GYN?

I became an OBGYN to be an advocate for women. Women are the backbone of our society and often times they are overlooked. I wanted to create a space where women feel empowered, where they are presented with knowledge and options to make their own choices regarding their bodies and healthcare.

What in your career are you most proud?

What makes me the most proud in my career are the moments where I feel as though I’ve truly made an impact on a patient’s life, from delivering a person’s first child to simply providing a safe space for them.

What is the most important part of your job?

I feel that the most important part of my job is to be an advocate for my patients and women’s healthcare as stated above.

Are you accepting new patients?
