Biography
What makes Colorado home to you?
I am a Colorado native and was born in Fort Collins. Both my family and my husband’s family also live in Colorado. I have also lived in Maryland, Kansas, and Iowa.
What are your passions outside of work?
Boating and waterskiing in Nebraska, being outdoors, gardening, a little fly fishing. My main focus is family time when I am not at work and keeping up with my kids’ activities.
Why did you become a Physician Assistant?
I chose women’s health early on while in PA school and wrote my thesis on HPV.
What in your career are you most proud?
I am most proud of my ability to help women find a solution for whatever reasons that brings them to the office.
What is the most important part of your job?
The best part of my job is the connections I make with my patients. In addition to caring for their medical needs, I like to know who they are as a person. Helping to guide my patients as they move through the various stages of their life and helping women as they meet the various challenges that each decade brings to their female health is also what I love about my job. It is these relationships that make me look forward to coming to work.
